DERMAPLANE FACIAL

ABOUT DERMAPLANING

Dermaplaning is an exfoliation treatment that involves gently scraping the face with a medical-grade scalpel to remove the very top layer of skin. The shave removes both dead skin cells and the fine vellus hairs that are known as peach fuzz, leaving the surface of the face ultra smooth. By stimulating the development of new skin cells, this type of exfoliation helps new skin rise to the surface leaving you with a more youthful and dewy face.

Dermaplaning provides an effective and safe exfoliation treatment that promotes deeper product penetration, boosting the effects of skin care products while making the skin look and feel smoother. It is also beneficial for reducing the appearance of acne scars. The treatment also works to remove facial hair that can trap dirt and oils. Makeup looks smoother and more flawless and without the fine layer of hair on the face, light more easily refracts off of the skin creating an ethereal skin glow!

THE PROCEDURE

Your facial will include a gentle foam cleanse to remove make up and surface impurities Once the skin is clean and free from impurities the dermaplane exfoliation is carried-out. An Enzyme exfoliating peel is then applied to the face to dissolve any remaining dead skin cells and refine the skin. Following the procedure, you will receive a lymphatic and lifting massage using ice globes over a cooling and hydrating face mask. The treatment is finished off with a hydrating serum.

WHAT TO EXPECT

After a dermaplaning treatment, you can immediately resume your normal activities, but you need to wear sunscreen or another form of sun protection because your skin will be sensitive. Your face should feel smoother, and your tone should be brighter and more even. To maintain your results, we recommend having this procedures every 3 – 4 weeks. Many patients notice that after their dermaplane treatment, their home skin care products (especially serums and creams) absorb more easily into their skin.
